Invest in your health, your community, and the future of sustainable agriculture today.
Sign-ups for our Summer 2024 CSA have closed. The CSA will run on FRIDAYS for 15 weeks from June 19th - September 25, 2024.
We offer a Full Share which is portioned for the entire family and a Half Share which is best for couples or friends. The shares will contain locally grown fruits and vegetables, and will occasionally include jams, honey, flowers, and farm fresh eggs. For a better idea of what is included each week you can check out our past CSA Guides. A Full-share is $35/week and a Half-share is $20/week.
Benefits of a CSA program:
Access to fresh, locally grown produce that is often picked within 24-48 hours of pickup, resulting in better taste, higher nutrient content, and fewer preservatives and chemicals than store-bought produce.
Your food dollars are directly supporting a local business and the local economy. Our CSA provides support for a small-scale farm and local agriculture, which promotes environmental sustainability and biodiversity.
The ability to try new fruits and vegetables that may not be available at supermarkets, and the opportunity to experiment with new recipes and cooking techniques each week.
A CSA helps build a sense of community and connection with local growers and other CSA members.
Questions about CSA (Community Sustainable Agriculture)
When and where can I pick my CSA?
CSA day is FRIDAY. Our local CSA in Dartmouth, MA will pickup at our farm stand (592 Chase Road, Dartmouth, MA) on Fridays from 1pm - 6pm. Please note, that if you do occasionally need to pick up on a different day, produce items may be much more limited than they would be on Fridays.
What happens if I can’t pick up my CSA share?
Anyone can pick up your share, they just need to give your name. Best practice is to shoot us an email ahead of time letting us know who will be picking up your share that day. A great deal of work and planning goes into preparing for pick up day. You may also pick up on a different day but produce items may be much more limited than they would be on Fridays.
What can I expect in my CSA?
The contents of your CSA vary depending on what crops are prevalent and in season, the weather, crop yield, and many other factors. You can view examples of our Weekly CSA Guides HERE! If you do not like something in your share you can swap it with another item from the farm stand of equal value.
May I get more than my share?
Yes you may. You can pay for extra items at the farm stand when you pick up your share. We will also have our own flowers, jams, pies, and honey for sale and occasionally may have some produce items that are not included in the share for sale.
May I split a share with someone?
Yes. However, for our record keeping purposes the share will only be listed under one persons name, so we ask that only one of you sign up, or we will think that we have sold 2 shares. We will not split the share for you. One person will have to pick up the share and you will have to split it between yourselves.
